We share one common belief: we all believe that innovative, inclusive, safe, beautiful parks and play spaces make our community strong.
WHAT WE DO
People for parks makes life in Windsor better for all by:
Financially supporting Windsor parks, people, and places.
Building community through events and activities inclusive of all people in our park spaces.
Supporting community projects that beautify and enhance Windsor’s parks and public spaces.
WHY WE DO IT
We began as a group of community organizers in 2012, when the economy had crashed and budgets for parks and recreation had been slashed nationwide. Our task was simply, to create a nonprofit that could support the Town of Windsor Parks and Recreation with tax-deductible donations and special projects. Our first project was funding the new playground on the Town Green. 10 years later, we are the face of the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree Grove every December and serve as fiscal sponsor to many of Windsor’s civic art, special events and park projects.
Our Mission
We, the People4Parks Foundation, are a community of grassroots organizers dedicated to raising funds for Windsor area parks and recreation projects.
Meet our Board:
Hello! My name is Tiffany, and I've been a resident of Windsor for over 30 years. Raised here, my family relocated up North, but I returned to Windsor at 18, knowing it was where I wanted to start my own family. I've been happily married for 16 years, with a 15-year-old son who goes to WHS and plays baseball. I'm the owner of Wise Acre Farm, specializing in pasture-raised poultry for eggs and meat. In 2023, our farm received the Snail of Approval Award, and following that, I was honored to be chosen as a 2024 US delegate at the Terra Madre food festival in Turin, Italy. Volunteering is a passion of mine; I also serve on the board of the American End of Endo Project and volunteer with organizations like Wigs for Kids, St. Baldrick's, Redwood Gospel Mission, Project Graduation, the Windsor Chamber of Commerce, and various school districts in the county. I am the President!
Hi, I am David! Healdsburg and Windsor have been my home since I was born, and I am so happy about all of the growth I've seen in the people and both cities over the years. I make a home on the Town Green with my partner Reggie and our cats. I am the tasting room manager at Baldassari Wines on the Town Green. I am the Vice President!
Hi, I'm Mary and I am the pastor of Windsor Presbyterian Church. My husband Eric and I have one child, Isaac, at Windsor High School and have lived in Windsor since 2019. Eric is active on the Pride Festival Committee this year, Isaac loves playing the Painted Pianos, and I still remember how awed I was the first time I saw the Town Green lit up for the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree Grove,. So we're a family that loves all of People4Parks projects and sponsorships. I love to walk around the Town Green on breaks from work, so that's probably my favorite park in Windsor. ~I am responsible for the finances (Treasurer)!
I am our Volunteer Champion! My name is Lorene, and I've lived in Windsor for over 25 years with my amazing wife, Gayle. I couldn't imagine any other place I'd rather call home! This is a family town on many levels, and I'm grateful to have found my chosen family here. I am an altruistic living organ donor (which means I gave my kidney to a stranger); I am the past President and CEO of the Windsor Chamber of Commerce. I love our Town Green and supporting small businesses. I am the Secretary & Volunteer Coordinator!
Hi I am Melissa and I have lived in Windsor since 2007! My husband Jeff and I have 4 children that attend Cali Calmecac Language Academy.I am a professional figure skating coach and own a social media management company. I also started "Pay Nothing Windsor", a free facebook page for our community. My favorite People 4 Parks event is the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree Grove, and our family's favorite park in Windsor is Sutton Park! ~I am in charge of social media + website design!
Hello, my name is Jack Pollard! I am an enrolled tribal member of the Round Valley Indian Tribes in Covelo, CA and bring a wealth of experience to community service. With a 17-year background in law enforcement, including 13 years as a Correctional Deputy with the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office, I have been an active participant in various non-profit organization and community projects. Currently serving as the Chairman of the Town of Windsor's Public Arts Advisory Commission, contributing to the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee for the Sonoma County Alliance, holding a Board Member, and chairing The Progressive Tribal Alliance, I exemplify a dedicated commitment to community engagement and positive change.
Hi! I'm Dan! After growing up on the East Coast and living all over the US, I now happily call Sonoma County home. My wife and I live in Cloverdale. I'm a member of both the Mark West and Windsor Chambers of Commerce. I am a 3-time Amazon #1 Bestselling author, life coach trainer, keynote speaker, award-winning hypnotherapist, holistic entrepreneur, and founder of Transcendent Living. I serve international clients from my home base in Sonoma County, CA. My prior career in sales and marketing was featured in the business bestseller Stop Selling and Start Leading by James Kouzes, Barry Posner, and Deb Calvert. I'm proud to have served in the United State Coast Guard Reserve for 9 years. I'm also an avid scuba diver. My passion is connecting people to themselves and building community through deep conversation. As part of fulfilling that purpose, I've trained over 3,500 individuals around the world to embrace a coaching-approach to their conversations and relationships. My favorite park in Windsor is the Town Green.

Windsor is a strong community and we've proven that strength, resilience, joy, and intolerance for marginalization of any form in recent years. Despite several incidents of discrimination against the LGBTQIA+ community since 2020, we continue to show that love wins in Windsor.
